THE CONSORTIUM COPASA-ESPINA OBRAS HIDRÁULICAS HAS PROVISIONALLY WON THE CONCESSION CIRCUITO 3 IN URUGUAY, VALUED AT 463 MILLION DOLLARS, WITH A PROJECT DEVELOPED BY ICEACSA GROUP

ICEACSA Group has developed the Bidding Project for Circuito 3 in Uruguay for the Consortium COPASA – ESPINA OBRAS HIDRÁULICAS, which achieved the maximum technical points awarded by the Evaluation Commission of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and that has provisionally been awarded the mentioned PPP process.

The Public Private Partnership Contract consists in the Design, Construction, Operation and Financing of the road infrastructure Circuito 3 in Route No 14 Centre-West, By Pass Sarandí del Yi and Connexion R14-R3, with a length of 291 km. The amount of investment, includes the initial works and the conservation and maintenance, amounts 463 million dollars.

The Bidding Project developed by ICEACSA Group prevailed over other multinational and local companies projects. The proposed technical solution for the road infrastructure will consist in the rehabilitation in situ of the current pavement by recycling with concrete of the existing material, on which it will be extended an asphalt wearing course, with the consequent environmental, technical and economic benefits.

This project will deal with topographical corrections to the road infrastructure in 15 km of new road stretch. Also, is thought to build 10 new bridges and to repair another 10 bridges and draining and signaling works.

After this initial step, ICEACSA Group will develop the Construction Project of the updating of Circuito 3, that considers the availability payment to the Licensee based in several quality indicators.
