THE PROJECT WRITTEN BY ICEACSA HAS BEEN THE ONE THAT HAS OBTAINED THE BEST TECHNICAL EVALUATION OF ALL THOSE SUBMITTED TO THE CALL OF RED.ES

ICEACSA Grupo elaborated for the Council of A Coruña the proposal “CONECTA CORUÑA”, that has obtained the second best valuation on the part of the evaluating commission of RED.ES and the best technical score, being awarded a total of 4MM€ of funds of the European Union, contributing the Council another million more.

The project describes the necessary technological infrastructure that will involve the conversion of 213 public and private buildings in the city of A Coruña into intelligent buildings or “Smartbuildings”, through the installation of systems to reduce energy and water consumption, capacity control, improved lighting and radon gas detection, among others, also taking into account the future integration of these Smartbuilding services in the current platform “Smartcity Coruña”.

In order to prepare this Proposal, different Administrations and Organisms were contacted, coordination and collaboration between the different municipal agents involved was obtained and citizen participation was opened up through a public consultation process on the Internet.
