THE CONSORTIUM INTEGRATED BY ICEACSA COLOMBIA AND EUROESTUDIOS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INTEGRAL AUDIT DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE AND DURING THE FIRST FIVE YEARS OF OPERATION.

The integral audit of the work contract for the extension of Transmilenio in the municipality of Soacha in Colombia will be carried out by the consortium formed by ICEACSA Colombia and EUROESTUDIOS. The audit includes the control and technical, operational, administrative, legal, financial, accounting, environmental and commercial monitoring of the work contract, the calculation of remuneration and the definition of actions required to meet the objectives of the work contract.

The project managed by Empresa Férrea Regional de Cundinamarca consists of phase 2 of the construction of the extension of the corridor that will house the TransMilenio BRT operating in Bogotá and from 2013 includes the city of Soacha, as well as the mixed traffic lanes that connect the Southern Highway of the metropolitan area with the intercity corridors. The mass transport system currently mobilizes 100,000 passengers per day, with the new extension, whose audit has been awarded to the Consortium composed of ICEACSA Colombia, will mobilize more than 400,000 passengers per day. The works will be developed until the year 2022 and will continue 5 years of operation also monitored by the same audit contract.

With a length of 1.3 kilometers, from Calle 22 in Soacha to the El Altico sector, phase 2 will have two simple stations with bi-articulated bus stops, an intermediate station which will have nine feeder bus platforms and six trunk platforms. Investments for these works are estimated at USD 68 million. The investment resources come from the Ministry of Transport, the department of Cundinamarca and the municipality of Soacha.
