ICEACSA, after a decade working in the Traffic Management Center of Northwest, once again receives the trust of the Traffic General Direction with the awarding of the technical support to the Traffic Management Center of Madrid
From the Traffic Management Center of Madrid, the heart of Spanish mobility, more than 6.000 km of main roads all over the country are monitored, and it receives data from more than 13.000 ITS equipment scattered throughout national geography.
The multidisciplinary professional Team from ICEACSA, highly qualified in latest ITS worldwide technologies, and the successful work developed for almost 10 years in the Traffic Management Center of Northwest, have been the decisive elements why Traffic General Direction has trusted to ICEACSA CONSULTORES S.L.U. – TEKIA INGENIEROS S.A. CONSORTIUM the management, analysis, tests, studies and reporting of the Traffic Management Center of Madrid, where decisions that affect mobility of the peninsular center are taken and management of national fixed radars centralized.
The Traffic Management Center of Madrid, of 7 existing in Spain, is the one with LARGER facilities. From the great room, which has about 200 screens and monitors, the information from other Centers is received, processed and coordinated, and it is possible to display a specific point of the Spanish roads at any time, and act immediately and coordinated, thanks to more than 1.200 existing cameras.
The works to be developed by the consortium led by ICEACSA have the target of making easy the decisions at the Traffic General Direction, through the determination and analysis of all variables that have influence on road mobility, allowing a better knowledge of traffic behavior in Madrid access, subjected to a very changeable conditions depending on time zone and weather conditions like all big cities, and the main cities in its area of influence.
