The Informative Study of the Rail Access to the Outer Harbour of A Coruña begins the Public Information Process

The ICEACSA Group Team, developer of the Informative Study, proposes the “Alternative 3” as more appropriate, that has an estimated budget of 105 million euros, VAT included.

The last July 31, the Official Gazette of Spanish Goverment, publishes the announcement by the Ministry of Public Works in which begins the process of Public Information of the “Informative Study of the Rail Access to the Outer Harbour of A Coruña in Punta Langosteira”, document prepared by ICEACSA in collaboration with the company PROYFE, selecting as the most suitable alternative the one called “Alternative 3”, with a main trunk of 7.6 km length and a branch connection of 1.5 km to the inner harbor and the city, crossing the highway AG-55 and AC-552 and AC-415 roads, and with several tunnels along its route.

The Informative Study has been developed in two stages: a first stage in which the territory was analyzed, defining those alternatives most appropriate attending to environmental and technical criteria; and a second stage in which each alternative was analyzed in depth, selecting the best option through a multi-criteria analysis, attending to the functionality of the railway system, the impact on the environment and territory and the associated investment costs. Thus, the bidding estimated budget exceeds 105 million euros for the proposed alternative, VAT included.

Persons, institutions and governments, may comment on the overall design of the selected solution within the next 45 working days.
